Open Paluku the first time

This build of Paluku isn't signed with an Apple Developer ID yet, so macOS asks you to approve it once. It takes about ten seconds.

Open Privacy & Security settings
  1. Drag Paluku to Applications (if you haven't yet), open it once, and click Done on the “Paluku” Not Opened message.
  2. In System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security. Next to “Paluku” was blocked to protect your Mac, click Open Anyway.
  3. Confirm with your password or Touch ID, then click Open Anyway once more. From now on Paluku opens normally.

Prefer Terminal? xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Paluku.app does the same thing.

Why: Apple only trusts apps without a warning when the developer pays for a Developer ID and Apple notarizes each release. You can sponsor Paluku to help cover that. The source is on GitHub, and every release lists its SHA-256.
